Jack and Stephanie are a married couple, who are going through a difficult time in their lives. On their way to counseling one day, they pass by a car accident and the police officer gives them new directions since the roads are closed due to the accident. Jack and Stephanie soon get in an accident of their own due to Jack's speeding, which leaves them stranded with no cell phone coverage. Deciding to travel by foot, they stumble across the Wayside Inn, a rather sinister looking house, but it seems to be the only salvation they have now that it's nightfall. Age Restriction: 16 V Upon entering the house they find another couple, Randy and Leslie; they are the ones whose car accident Jack and Stephanie had passed earlier. Stephanie is extremely apprehensive about staying in the house, but realizes there are no other options for the night. The two couples meet Betty, the owner of the house, and her two sons. Something isn't right about this family or house. Right before dinner, a tin can is thrown down the chimney, defining the 'House rules'. These rules clearly state that they will all die, unless one on the four is killed. They have twelve hours to decide. What follows is a cat and mouse game with the couples soon realizing that this strange family and the killer have purposely lured them into the house. The further and further they delve into the house, the more they are confronted with their pasts, and everything from the house, the family, and the 'tin-man killer' are slowly pinning the couples against each other. This is a house where evil makes all the decisions and if you want to survive...you must follow the rules.
