Walk the Talk - A Regardt van den Bergh short film
How far are you prepared to go to WALK THE TALK?
Walk the Talk directed by Regardt van den Bergh is the testimony of a broken man who desperately searches for the good news of redemptive love. A young cast and crew help him to create this short story for the purpose of getting the message of Jesus out to the world. In the youtube age of today the gospel message remains urgent and van den Bergh Films intends to bring it across in as many ways as possible . The series of short films (of which Walk the Talk is the first) can be used as material for discussion groups, outreaches and entertainment.
On the day of his release, Hendriks (Randal Brown) discovers that the time he spent in prison has brought him no closer to the peace that should come from supposed justice, but closer only to the longing that is evident in all humanity. Is there such a thing as redemptive love? It just so happens that Hendriks over hears a DJ from a local Christian radio station as he sits on the pavement in a hopeless Kayamandi. Nathan (Howard Fywie) and Claire (Jess Heath) who are hosting the show grapple with the question of whether God’s unconditional love is greater than our mistakes. Hendriks phones in and asks Nathan if God can love someone like him. All the while Eugene (Matthew Roberts)who runs the station continuously tries to contain Nathan's message of God's love. When events take an unexpected turn Nathan and Claire are confronted with what it means to live out this love of God and Eugene gets to glimpse what walking the talk is really all about.
Included on the DVD are two music videos, Behind the Scenes and a interviews with various Christians from different walks of life on the subject of unconditional love and what it means to Walk the Talk
Release Date: 16 May 2011
