Johan Vercueil is back and rocking the Afrikaans music market with his new album, Donsveertjies. This 17 track album is a fusion of Country Rock and Adult Contemporary sounds that will have you dancing in no time. Johan writes all his own songs from personal experience as well as other people's stories, ensuring that the listener has fresh material to enjoy. With a guest appearance on the album from female country star, JJ, the album is a must for your collection.

Born on the East Rand, Johan has zealously followed his singing passion for over twenty-five years. From his start in "Coffee Bars" and leading praise and worship, Johan is now tackling the mainstream market with 14 original songs and three extra from his previous albums.

This is what Johan has to say about Donsveertjies: "The album was a huge challenge, especially the lyrics. As I normally write, the lyrics are real life stories from a number of different people and friends, people I have met over the years who just starts talking and telling stories. Some songs are about our own people in South Africa. I want to try and tell people like myself we can have a fantastic life and future, even in South Africa and that there is absolutely nothing wrong in being a white Afrikaner. We have a wonderful language, a rich and colorful history. People will be able to identify with most of the songs on the album. I even think that a large number of people will see themselves as if they are looking into a mirror, recognizing certain periods or actual events in their lives."
